Mediation
Roz is an experienced Mediator and helps employers and employees resolve areas of conflict or disagreement. When disputes arise in the workplace, they can easily become unmanageable, leaving the employment relationship potentially in an irreparable state. Often this means parting company acrimoniously and potentially facing Tribunal proceedings.
Roz says “It’s always best if the parties can be brought together to reach a resolution or settlement as a way of resolving disputes in the workplace. Acting as the independent third party Roz uses a mediation process which can nip the problem in the bud and resolve a dispute quickly to enable the parties to continue working harmoniously together. Alternatively, Roz can mediate an amicable parting without the stress and cost of litigation.
Roz finds that she can have a dramatic effect on a dispute because, as the mediator, she does not ‘take sides’. Both parties explain their position to her with confidence and put trust in her judgement. This process assists her in finding a solution to either enable the parties to continue to work together in harmony or achieve an amicable parting without further dispute. Mediation can provide remedies which cannot be achieved through litigation, for example an apology.
